Gniocchi

Ingredients:
-
For gnocchi:
-
5 potatoes
-
1 egg
-
200 grams of flour for all uses
-
-
For the sauce:
-
canned tomato juice
-
oil
-
salt
-
pepper
-
basil
-
(various cheeses)
-
Method:
Boil the potatoes for 30 minutes (add enough salt to the water). After they boil, let them cool a bit. Peel them and melt them with a fork (without becoming puree!). Then, make a hole in the center of the melted potato and throw an egg. Beat it and slowly start kneading. Spread the flour on a surface. Add the potato-egg dough and knead together with the flour. When the dough is ready, divide it into 4 pieces. We shape each piece into long cylinders and cut them into small pieces to form our gnocchi. Boil water in a saucepan and add a little oil and salt. When the water boils, add the gnocchi. When they rise to the surface (after about 25 seconds) remove them from the pot and put them in a pan (we can also pot) with a few drops of oil. Pour in the tomato sauce and heat over medium heat. Stir for 3 minutes. If we want, we can add various cheeses to melt them. Ready! Good appetite!
