Gingerbread house

For biscuits:

  • 650 grams of flour

  • 150 grams of butter

  • 75 grams of brown sugar

  • 75 grams of granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 150 grams of honey

  • 1 teaspoon chopped cloves

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 1½ κ.γλ baking powder

  • 1 vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the icing:

  • 2 egg whites

  • 450 gr. powdered sugar

  • 30 gr. lemon juice

To decorate them:

  • Chocolates

  • Confectionery

  • Whatever you want

For the biscuits:

Put the butter with the sugar in the mixer and beat them until fluffy. In another bowl, sift the flour and add the cloves, salt, baking powder, vanilla and cinnamon. Once the butter is fluffy, add the eggs one by one, beat until the mixture is homogeneous and then add the honey.

When the ingredients are well mixed, pour the flour mixture into the mixer and beat them all until it becomes a dough. Once it becomes dough, take it out of the mixer and shape it a little with your hands. We open it with the rolling pin, and we make our shapes. Place them in a pan with oil paste.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C in the air for 10-15 minutes until slightly browned. Take them out of the oven and let them cool well.

For the icing:

Beat the egg whites in the mixer until they start to tighten in moderation. Add the lemon. Start slowly and add the icing sugar. The mixture will begin to tighten. Beat until it acquires a thick sticky texture like a glossy meringue.

For decoration:

With the help of icing we "build" the house. Leave it for two hours, so that the biscuits stick well together. With the rest of the meringue (which we have left in the fridge so that it does not spoil) we decorate our house.
